A receptionist is usually the first person a visitor meets or speaks to on the phone. A receptionist should make that all important, good first impression, so above anything else you'll need to have a good rapport with people to make them feel looked after and at ease.
Duties include:
Greeting visitors, offering them refreshments and directing them to the right person
Answering queries
Answering calls and taking messages
Screening phone calls
Keeping the reception area tidy
Looking after the 'visitor' book and security passes
Receipt of courier parcels
