IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR<

 

Our small and very busy IT department is now looking to complement the team with an interesting new role which will assist the existing IT team and combine technical support with departmental administration.

To fulfil this very hands on role the successful candidate must have:

·                     In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office products, including Windows Server 2000/2003, Terminal Services and desktop Windows 2000/XP/7.

·                     Strong PC hardware and software recovery skills, including software installation and PC maintenance/repairs.

·                     Experience in supporting IT infrastructure, including Servers, network (inc RF), communications, remote access, security, anti-virus, anti-spyware, backup and disaster recovery procedures/solutions.

·                     Hold a full, clean UK driving licence.  Overnight stays may be required when visiting our remote sites. 

Capabilities with regard to the following will be a distinct advantage, but are not essential:

·                     Knowledge of Lotus Domino/Notes.

·                     Experience of telecoms (VOIP etc)

·                     Knowledge of structured network cabling technologies Cat5, 5e, Fibre Optics.

·                     Ability to learn and support our ERP, EPOS and data capture software solutions, which include SQL Server, Oracle databases and Oracle development tools.

Clearly you will have good technical skills and be a well organised individual with excellent administrative and communication skills.  You must be able and willing to support our manufacturing, warehousing, multiple countrywide retail sites, plus remote office workers, both via phone and/or in person.
