Finance Officer 


xxxxx U.K. Limited has a small local finance team who are responsible for co-ordinating all local Finance and Accounting activities with it's Berlin service centre and with it's financial reporting headquarters in Germany. With a 31 December year end the local team requires extra resource leading up to and following this critical accounting period, particularly as a key team member will be taking paternity leave in the very near future.

The role would suit a part qualified accountant with experience of management accounting and financial reporting in a manufacturing business.


A person is required who will work flexibly with the 3 existing team members in completing all finance and reporting activities to the various deadlines set by the parent company. Most work is via the SAP systems and therefore a high degree of computer literacy is required although full training will be given on the specific company applications.

The type of work activities which will take priority are as follows:

Preparation of monthly management accounting information. Preparation of year end forecasts.

Preparation of 2008 budgets.

Preparation of year end accounts.

Dealing with requests for information from the year end auditors.



Part qualified accountant or qualification by experience.

Experience of Microsoft Packages, Lotus Notes and SAP would be a distinct advantage.

Excellent organisational and communication skills are required to work on ones own initiative with a minimum of supervision.
