Job Purpose: To work as part of the credit control team, ensuring the debtor days target is achieved whilst keeping within the Divisional Customer Intimacy Strategy.

Key Activities: Working within a close knit – personable team, the Credit Controller will be responsible for ensuring the debtor days levels are maintained within target for the accounts under their control, and also maintaining a working relationship with our customers.

Credit Control

·                    Following our credit control policy guidelines, ensuring customer payments are received on time and all issues and queries are resolved in time to not effect the payment schedule

·                    Continuous management of the credit hold facility to ensure orders are cleared in time to meet customer request dates without risk to our organisation

·                    All aspects of credit control administration, including new account set up, statement and dunning letters generation, and adhoc reporting.

·                    Actively collecting cash, by both telephone and email/fax, to ensure payments are received but customer relationships are maintained

·                    Working closely with the Business Area Managers and the Customer Service teams to ensure the relationship with the customer is maintained as well as debt collected within terms.

·                    Using the credit insurance facilties, requesting new limits where appropriate and ensuring cover is in place for shipments
