Payroll  and Pension Administrator, Cashier

 

 

REPORTS TO:

Financial Controller

Book-keeping

JOB PURPOSE:

To ensure all employees receive correct remuneration.

To provide nominal ledger information for Company financial data processes

To manage the on site administration of the Company Pension scheme

 

 

KEY RESULT AREAS:

(Performance measures)

·        Bank reconciliation

·        Pension audit

·        Weekly and monthly financial reports

·        Employee satisfaction regarding pay and benefits

·        Financial audits – Company Auditors and Division

·        Deadlines met

 

 

KEY TASKS:

Payroll:

·        Process monthly salary payrolls

·        Calculate hourly paid wages

·        PAYE Return

·        Remittance of payroll deductions to appropriate authorities

·        Wage reports & Annual budget

·        P11D’s, Yearend Tax Returns

·        Information to Senior Management as requested

 

Pension Scheme:

·        Implement Company pension scheme for new employees

·        Prepare pension schedule from payrolls

·        End of year reports on Pension scheme

·        Advise and inform employees on changes and updates to Pension scheme as they occur

·        Liaison with Group Pensions Department

 

Cashier:

·        Bank reconciliation

·        Direct debit payments

·        Petty cash

·        Quarterly VAT return

·        Journal entries – accruals

·      Cash receipts and payments

 

 

 

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

In direct reporting role:

Financial Controller

Operations Manager

 

In teamworker role:

Accounts department

Shift supervisors

 

 

LIMITS OF AUTHORITY:

The following activities are outside the limits of the job’s authority:

 

·        Handling disciplinary and grievance procedures

·        Procurement of capital equipment

·        Authorisation of overtime

·        Expenditure without Management authorisation
