Business Accountant 

This role will provide comprehensive business accounting support to the General Manager of a key newly acquired sector of the business

Duties will include: 

·        Provide professional financial advice and support to the General Manager and other key staff of the unit, including decision support, education, advice and liaison.

·        Assist the business in the conduct of periodic Contract Reviews and the preparation of contract forecasts.

·        Take primary responsibility for the preparation of the Management Accounts of the unit.

·        Prepare business forecasts, annual Strategic Plans and Budgets.

·        Pro-actively contribute to the development of processes and systems to improve the quality and relevance of financial and decision-support information. 

Experience and Skills: 

·        Educated to first degree level or equivalent.

·        Qualified accountant (ACA/ACMA/ACCA).

·        A minimum of one year’s post-qualification experience, ideally within a software, technology, consultancy or contracting environment.

·        Good communication skills

·        Problem-solving skills and the ability to propose new ideas

·        Excellent Excel skills.
